For 67 years the Quincy Exchange Club has recognized an individual in the Quincy area who has made a difference in our community with the “Golden Deeds Award”.  So who will that person be for the 68th year of the event this year? Well that decision has been made, but due to the Coronavirus Crisis it has been put on hold for a future date.

The award goes annually to someone who has made a difference in their community. This special person is always there to help others or has done something, usually without wanting recognition for doing so, to aid others. If you know of such person, then please keep them in mind for next year’s award.

The process to nominate someone is to secure and provide as many letters as possible supporting your nomination.  These can be from family, friends, acquaintances or others who have experience with the nominee. So, with all of us self-quarantined, this might be a good time to write those letters for next year’s potential recipient.

Be looking next year (2021) around March as the Quincy Exchange Club will post a 2021 nomination form on their website of www.Quincyexchangeclub.org.

This year’s Golden Deeds Award Luncheon was to be held on May 8, 2020, but has been postponed to a date to be determined.
