Enter your pictures in this FB contest to win prizes

With fall in the air, it’s the prime time to decorate pumpkins, dress in costume and enjoy the leaves changing into their autumn colors. Hannibal Parks & Recreation is sponsoring Facebook contests in October to give Hannibal residents to show off their creativity and artwork.

The categories for the contests are:

• Best Carved Pumpkin
• Best Painted Pumpkin
• Best Costume
• Best Fall Foliage

You can find the contests on Hannibal Parks Facebook page. The entry in each category that receives the most shares, likes and comments by midnight Oct. 29 will be the winner.

A prize package from SC Data Contact Center and FACT (Families and Communities Together) will be given to winning entries. The photos of all entries will be available on the Hannibal Parks Facebook page.

Mary Lynne Richards, recreation supervisor of Hannibal Parks & Recreation, said, “Hannibal is beautiful this time of year so we encourage everyone to get outside and enjoy nature. Sometimes a little encouragement is all you need to share creativity with others.”
