The city of Quincy has been without a parade for over a year now, well all of that is about to change with the triumphant return of the annual Dogwood Parade organized by the Quincy Chamber of Commerce! According to the Quincy Chamber of Commerce the Dogwood Parade is scheduled for May, 1st 2021, which if you don't have a calendar handy is a Saturday. As always the Dogwood Parade will be going down Maine Street in Quincy starting at 24th and heading west towards the Mississippi river, with the start time scheduled for around 9:20 am that morning, expect street closures near the parade route that morning.

According to Kenyetta McFall who is the communications and public relations manager for the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce, the theme for this years parade will be "Celebrate the Hero in All of Us" to show how we all had to overcome hardships over the past year.

Personally I am pumped to see the parade happen again, it was the first major Quincy tradition I got to take part in with KICK-FM two years ago when I moved here and started working. And everyone here at Townsquare Media are so excited that the Dogwood Parade tradition is making its way to back, and we can't wait to see all of your smiling faces along the parade route! So now the question is, what songs should we play for you all along the parade route?
