Dogwood Parade In Jeopardy as Bad Weather Looms

One of Quincy’s many “First Days of Summer” kicks off on Saturday…hopefully.
The annual Dogwood Festival is underway, but some nasty weather is looming and looking to put a damper on our Saturday morning parade down Maine Street!

That doesn’t look good.

Our friends over at the Quincy Chamber will be meeting with Emergency Services Director John Simon early on Saturday morning and will have a decision on the parade status by 7:30. Check our Facebook page for the latest. If it’s looking bad, the parade will be delayed two hours (lineup at 10:00, parade at 11:30). If the skies don’t clear up by 9:30, however, they’re gonna have to call it. :(
