D.Q. Offering Free Ice Cream Cone to Welcome in Spring
The Vernal Equinox will take place tomorrow afternoon at 4:58 p.m. marking the official arrival of Spring in the Midwest. Because of this long awaited event, Dairy Queen is giving away free ice cream cones nationwide for their "Free Cone Day" all day long on March 20 to celebrate the first day of spring. That’s right, Dairy Queen is giving away free ice cream in Quincy and Hannibal! The fast-food chain is offering free vanilla ice cream cones on its fourth annual Free Cone Day and will be collecting donations for the Children's Miracle Network hospitals.
There's a limit of one cone per person and that person must be present to receive the free cone. Mall locations are not participating including the Quincy Mall. Last year's free cone day raised nearly $300,000 for the hospital network. In the last 30 years, Dairy Queen has raised more than $130 million for Children's Miracle Network hospitals in its local communities.
The participating Quincy Dairy Queen locations are at 801 North 12th Street and at 1201 Harrison. In Hannibal Dairy Queen is located at Highway 61 and MM.
