The Chicago Cubs World Series trophy will be making a tour stop in Illinois’ capital city.

If you’re up for a short drive, you can get your picture taken with the Commissioner’s Trophy on Wednesday, March 8 when it will be on display at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (212 N. Sixth Street in Springfield). The trophy will be on display from 2:30 until 4:00 pm.

No admission fee is required to see the trophy or get your picture taken with it. To ensure that you get your photo opportunity, you must get a wristband. 500 wristbands will be given out beginning at 12:30. Additional photo opps will be permitted as time allows.

The trophy has certainly made its rounds this off season with appearances in Iowa, Nebraska, and plenty of cities in northern Illinois. The Springfield stop is currently the closest the trophy will get to Quincy. However, additional tour stops will be announced in the days and weeks to come, so check the Cubs website for any updates.
