It was only a matter of time before Major League Baseball made a decision on an overseas series between two big-time rivals.

The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals were set to play a two games series in London, England on June 16 and 17 but the Associated Press is reporting they have now been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Major League Baseball has already canceled games in Mexico City and Puerto Rico so it makes sense that the Cubs-Cards series would be next.

Baseball is hoping to come back by May, but a recent tweet speculates a "July 4 return is a best-case scenario."
