A sold out crowd was on hand Saturday night as the Miss Quincy Scholarship Pageant was held at the Oakley Lindsay Center. At the end of the evening the two big winners were Christina Hanna, who was crowned Miss Quincy 2013 by Miss Illinois Megan Ervin, and Kelsey Peters who was crowned Miss Gem City. Both young ladies will be competing for the Miss Illinois competition in Marion, Illinois in June.

Other winners were Angelica Niemann who was crowned as Miss Quincy Outstanding Teen, Ailaa Ippenson as Miss Quincy Outstanding Pre-Teen, Emma Sparrow as Little Miss Quincy and Mackenzie Mahsman as Miss Gem City Outstanding Teen. All of the above winners will also compete for state titles in June in their divisions also in Marion, Illinois.

The evening also saw the end of the reign of Miss Quincy Megan Ervin, who will continue her duties as Miss Illinois until the end of June.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention all the hard work that was done by Pageant Director, Lindsey Hess to make the night such a special one for so many people. Nice job Lindsey, good luck winners and congratulations to all the girls who competed.
