City of Quincy Reminds Residents on Trash Protocol

The City of Quincy would like to remind citizens that trash and garbage should be placed in alleys for those residents that normally have alley pick up and where alleys are navigable by trucks. Recycle items and yard waste should be placed at the curb. Recycle items should be placed in recycle bins and sorted between fibrous (paper & cardboard) and other materials when possible.  Recycle items should not be placed in waste bags.

Paper bags and cardboard containers can be used for overflow when recycle bins become full.  Also, garbage and yard waste bags should not weigh more than 40 pounds.
