Chicago will reimpose certain restricts to help stop the spread of COVID-19, here are the details...

Well if you were planning a trip to up to (the greatest city in the world in my opinion) Chicago, you may want to reschedule. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced today that the Second City will be reimposing certain COVID-19 restrictions to help stop the spread of the coronavirus in the city.

According to ABC 7 Chicago, they posted on their website (click here) the restrictions being reimposed on the city of Chicago, they include.

-Bars, taverns, breweries and other places that serve alcohol to be consumed on-site will no longer be able to serve customers indoors. Establishments that do not serve food can serve customers outdoors. Restaurants that serve alcohol can continue to operate.

-The maximum party size at tables for restaurants and bars has been lowered to six people,

-There is a maximum of 10 people allowed at indoor fitness classes,

-Personal services that require facemasks to be removed, such as shaves or facials, will not be allowed,

-Residential property managers are being asked to limit guest entry to five people per-unit to avoid indoor gatherings and parties.

These restrictions will go into place starting this Friday, July 24th. As a guy who lived in that city for 5 years before moving here this news pains me. I have so many friends in the restaurant and bar industries and these restrictions will certainly impact them greatly. But it is so important in these densely populated areas to wear your masks and continue to socially distance so we can beat this virus asap before it claims more lives.
