Chicago Cubs Legend Fergie Jenkins Coming to Quincy

Chicago Cubs legend and 1971 Cy Young winner Fergie Jenkins is coming to Quincy. The baseball Hall of Famer will be at the Quincy Mall on Sunday, January 31st. Jenkins will meet fans and sign autographs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m in the Fountain Court.

You'll want to get a line ticket if you want to meet the pitching great. Tickets wil be handed out (free of charge) 10 a.m on Saturday.  In addition, bring any receipt from the Quincy Mall dated either the 30th or 31st to obtain a free 8x10 of Fergie Jenkins to be signed.

The autograph signing caps off a weekend of vendors descending upon Quincy for a host of buying, selling, and trading of baseball cards. Along with the baseball card goodness and Fergie Jenkins appearance, mall-goers can visit the Mountain Dew Truck and guess how many 2-liters are stashed in the back. The winner will receive a free case a month for an entire year. That's a lot of caffeine!

Finally, Quincy is starting to show the Cubs some love after their great campaign this past season. And with the Cardinal's Caravan skipping Hannibal this year, here's a chance to meet a baseball legend into the Gem City.
