I was genuinely surprised when I learned what Missouri's drunkest cities were. But, it was the one at the top that truly shocked me when it came to alcohol consumption. Cheers?

I probably shouldn't be laughing because this really isn't funny, but Roadsnacks just ranked the drunkest cities in Missouri a few days ago using the following criteria:

  • Number of bars and pubs per capita
  • Number of wineries per capita
  • Number of liquor stores per capita
  • Each city’s drunk-related Tweets within the past week
  • Each city’s divorce rate

What is Missouri's "drunkest city"?

(*Drum Roll*)...it's Branson!

So how did Branson get this dubious honor? Roadsnacks says Branson has a divorce rate of 18.24%, the 9th most bars in Missouri and is 2nd in liquor stores.

For what it's worth, Valley Park, St. Louis, Bonne Terre and Nevada rounded out the top 5 among the Missouri cities that need an intervention apparently.

On the good news side of the equation, they also named the 5 LEAST drunk Missouri cities which are:

  1. Town And Country
  2. Oakville
  3. Shrewsbury
  4. Glendale
  5. Fort Leonard Wood

It's a pretty sobering list if you ask me. (pun intended). Check out the full alcoholic list from Roadsnacks if you need a deeper dive into the Missouri places that probably need a few new hobbies.
