It's Friday and time to have some fun as we head into the weekend ahead. When I came to Quincy years ago, I was told that Quincy is a beer drinking town and that there are more churches and bars/taverns per capita in Quincy than any other city in America.

Now, I have never seen any evidence of that statement being accurate, but I wouldn't be surprised if the bar totals would be high on that list.  People have said that there seems to be a bar or tavern on every corner in Quincy. Of course, that is an exaggeration, but there are and have been many over the years.

There appears to be quite a few less bars and taverns now than there were years ago. It is always fun to reminisce about the past so lets do it here. Just how many bars and taverns have there been in Quincy?  We may never find the correct answer to that, but we can list the ones that we are aware of.

So with that said, can you name the bars and taverns that you know of that are open now and have been in the past?  This should bring back some memories for sure for a lot of people.  Have a great beer drinking weekend!
