Can You Help The Illinois Veteran’s Home With their Christmas List?
It's Christmas time and the lists for Santa are out there including a list of needs at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy.
People can be so generous at this time of year and hopefully they can be that way with the needs of our Veterans at the Veteran's Home in Quincy. Listed below are some of the items needed on the "Wish List" for Santa this year.
1. A gift for each of the 321residents ($20 will sponsor one resident)
2. Eighty 32" to 36" High Definition Television (Approx. $100 per television)
3. A soft serve Ice Cream maker (At a cost of $5,000)
4. Monetary donations for purchasing outdoor Christmas decorations ($10,000 goal)
These are just a few of the items needed. If you or your organization is interested in funding a portion of the entire project listed above, contact the Veteran's Home Administrator Troy Culbertson at (217) 222-8641 (ext. 202) or Rick Gengenbacher, the Director of Marketing at extension 380.
