Tell me it isn’t so! It seems like yesterday when I planted my posterior next to “My Rock” and now the final installment of the 2018 Blues in the District will take place tomorrow night as Ken Valez will be on the bandstand at Washington Park in Quincy. How can that be? Some 78 days ago Coyote Bill entertained the crowd with this year’s first act and tomorrow Ken Valdez, the 6th and final act, will wrap up the 21st season for Blues in The District presented by Blessing Health System.

Valdez was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and now makes Minneapolis, Minnesota as his home. Friday's concert will begin at 5:30 and run until 9:30 and is free to attend.

As always, food and beverage is available for purchase, but you may bring your own food and drink if you would like. Remember to bring your friends, lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy some great blues music tomorrow night.

Also tomorrow night, someone will be winning some big-time bucks as the drawing to determine a $5000 winner will take place during the evening.

All the details about the Blues in the District concerts can be found online at www.thedistrictquincy.com.
