Tonight the second installment of this summer's "Blues in The District" will take place as Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames take to the stage at Washington Park. The park will also be the home of the Quincy Arts Faire tonight through the weekend. Weld was born in Chicago in 1952 moved to New Mexico as a teenager and headed to Las Vegas and got to meet and eventually played with the legendary Gatemouth Brown. From there, Dave made his way back to his roots in the windy city and eventually started "Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames" in 1988. The band came out with their first CD called "Roughrockin' in Chicago" that same year.

Dave will bring his high energy tonight to Quincy playing from 5:30 to 9:30.  The concert is free to the public with fans allowed to bring their own lawn chairs, food and beverage. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase as well.
