Biological Mother Arrested in Death of Her 7 Year Old Daughter

The Adams County Sheriff's Office has made a third arrest in connection with the death of a 7 year old girl near Beverly, Illinois that occurred on Friday, May 20. The sheriff's office served an arrest warrant on Karen L. Torres for the offense of obstructing justice. Torres is the biological mother of the deceased 7 year old child. Torres was lodged in the Adams County Jail for obstructing justice today with a bond amount set at $6000 with 10% to apply. No other details were made available at this time.

Torres is expected to appear in Adams County Court tomorrow, May 24.

UPDATE: A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the shooting death. Shannon Combes of Quincy has been charged with possession of a weapon by a felon. Combes was lodged in the Adams County Jail but released after posting a $2,000 bond
