Adams County Skate Park Movement Picks Up Momentum
The Adams County Skate Park Movement has been given the thumbs up to build a skate park in Moorman Park from the Quincy Park District. Now, they just need to raise the funds to get it built. Now, they have a number of fundraisers in the coming weeks to get the project closer to completion.

When you see Salvation Army volunteers ringing bells in Quincy next week, don’t wipe your eyes. You aren’t hallucinating and it isn’t Christmas. Oh, and they don’t want your money. Payson Old Settlers Picnic Is Only A Couple Weeks Away
This summer is flying by. Hard to believe we’re only a couple weeks away from August. And, that means we’re also only a couple weeks away from the Payson Old Settler’s Picnic. The fun will get rolling with the opening ceremonies at 5pm on Friday, August 3rd. On that Friday night, the Payson Old Settlers Queen competition will be decided. Saturday afternoon around 1pm will be the Grand Parade.
Annual MDA Coed Tournament Coming To Palmyra In August
What has become a tradition in Palmyra is coming to Flower City Park on Saturday, August 18th. It’s the annual MDA Coed Tournament and as you might guess, proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

National Tom Sawyer Days are underway! Highlights of Hannibal’s celebration include arts and crafts in the park starting on Tuesday, July 3rd. The parade will roll down Broadway on the 4th of July with fireworks that night.
Quincy Gus Macker – Registration Details
Nearly 500 teams will be playing in the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament this weekend. If you’re a part of one of those teams, you will need to register before playing. With that in mind, the Quincy Exchange Club will be holding advance registration Friday afternoon in Washington Park.
