If you've been missing Ashley Tisdale's music, good news! Her sad but beautiful song for her late grandfather is just the tip of the iceberg, and she promises more pop goodness soon -- as well as more acting!

The former 'High School Musical' starlet told MTV News that her fiance, Christopher French, produced the song 'You're Always Here' that she penned for her grandfather, and that they work well together for a reason. "He gets me on a level that not a lot of people can," she revealed. "He's able to translate exactly what I want as an artist. He's able to understand what the subject is and how personal it is to me, and we're both very creative and we inspire each other, so it was a perfect match."

Don't worry, though, because not all of Tisdale's tracks are going to be mournful! "It feels great to be writing and singing again. It helped me get over what was happening, "I don't even know if I'm just going to do singles or do an album. It's really just me going into the studio and doing what I love," she said. "I've been inspired to start doing music again. I've been really excited to be back in the studio and figuring out what that next sound is. But I definitely missed it and I'm having a lot of fun with it, so we will see."

Tisdale hasn't abandoned acting, though, and she's even dipping her hand into the producer pot. "I've been doing more TV and hope to do more in the future. But as a producer I have a Disney Channel movie coming out called 'Cloud 9.' I'm excited for everybody to see it; it's really cool!" she gushed. "I've had my [production] company for five years and it's obviously taken a little time to really get going, but just being able to be on that other side, it's awesome."

The 'Guilty Pleasure' singer also has an animated flick called 'The Great Migration' on board with 'HSM' co-star Vanessa Hudgens, though there's no set release date just yet. "I'm excited," she squealed. ""When the time comes, if it happens, that'd be awesome."
