I just want to say this would make me very sad if AMC was never able to reopen. I am an absolute movie buff, I love movies, talking about movies, but mainly I love going to the movie theater. There is something so special about going to the movies, I can think of so many times where my parents would take me and my siblings when we were younger to the movies. Or the countless rainy days where there is nothing else to do but go to the movies. And more recently since moving to the Tri-States last year and starting to work in morning radio, getting off work at 3:30 pm just in time to run over to the AMC Movie Theater in Quincy to catch a cheap matinee showing.

But the world changes and evolves, and I can also thing of the dozens of times I would pass on going to the movie theater because by the time you buy a ticket, drink, popcorn, and candy you've spent $40 and that is just for you let alone if you have a date, or you are a family of 4 or more. With streaming services producing blockbuster quality movies maybe movie theaters are meant to go away, I don't know the correct answer and I think there are layers to the argument about the importance of having movie theaters still.

Either way it would still be sad just for anything else to close down and more people losing jobs. So I ask you, would you be sad if the AMC Movie Theaters never reopened?
