Spring officially arrives on March 20 and with it comes the high school baseball and softball seasons. Such is the case for the Liberty Eagles who will jump the gun on spring by kicking off their home softball and baseball openers hosting the Payson Seymour Indians on Monday, March 19 at 4:30 p.m.  Following the games, the Liberty Booster Club will be conducting a dedication ceremony to showcase the newly built Amanda Newman-Krutmeier Memorial Batting Cage. The approximate time for the ceremony is 6 p.m.

The committee will be serving a free meal which includes hot dogs, hamburgers, and chips to all in attendance.   The newly constructed batting cage features an extra-large hitting area for both softball and baseball teams, a large storage area, and a covered shelter house area.

The public is welcome to attend the games and the ceremony.
