Spring cleaning is in full effect for most of us, but the most important cabinet that needs to be checked is your medicine cabinet. If you do check it and find unused medicine, there is a way to dispose of it without costing you anything.

The Adams County Health Department will be holding their Drug Take Back program on April 24th. From 10 am to 2 pm, you can drop off any unused, outdated, or unwanted medicine to be disposed of correctly, and most importantly the program keeps drugs off of the streets. So while you spring cleaning, make sure you take a look at your medicine cabinet/closet and bring any medicine you are not using to the Adams County Health Department to be disposed of.

You can also bring your unwanted medication at either of the Hy-Vee stores in Quincy. Drug take-back receptacles are available inside by the pharmacy and are they year-round. So you don't have to wait to get rid of any unwanted medication you have lying around. This program is made to keep prescription medication of the street and disposed of the proper way. So before you throw any medication away bring it either to the Adams County Health Department tomorrow, and either Hy-Vee store to make sure they are disposed of correctly.
