A new study came up a few days ago that says that moms work an average of 98 hours a week, or roughly the time you would put in doing 2.5 full-time jobs at 40 hours a week. My response? Their numbers seem low.

The balance of working 40-plus hours a week (and sometimes weekends) and then taking care of my girls is a daily struggle. And I know I am not alone. So when I read this study, it made me feel a little better knowing that I am not the only one running around with my head cut off each and every day.

Between work, cooking dinner, doing homework, cleaning the house, making sure the girls are read to each night, baths, playing games, and just being a responsible adult, it's no wonder I am asleep at most nights by 8:30.

But the thing is...I wouldn't change it for the world.

Being a parent, is the hardest most rewarding job you will EVER do. And yes, some days are a little rougher than others. But coming home after a long day at work and seeing my children is still a feeling that I can't even describe. I'm very thankful.

The constant tug-of-war between work and parenting is something I battle with every day. And some days I fail at one or the other (or sometimes even both). I am fortunate to have a supporting husband and co-workers to help me manage it all.

So if you're a working mom finding yourself exhausted at the end of a long day and wondering "how did I get through this day?" Just know you're not alone.
