I was talking with my friend Lori Bergman at Destination Travel this morning and we got on the topic of the Madonna House in Quincy.  This home for single Moms and their children from two to fourteen years of age is struggling as all non-profit organization are these day and could use some help.  We hear that all the time but in most cases, people just don't know what to do to help.

Lori was kind enough to send me a list of what the Madonna house could use in preparing for the Winter months ahead. That list is below.

  • 13 gallon trash bags
  • Paper towels
  • Toilet paper
  • Floor cleaner
  • Kleenex
  • Craft items- Color wonder finger paints and paper
  • Coloring books
  • Pocket calendars
  • Games ages 2-6
  • Resume paper
  • 2 Pocket folders
  • Non perishable food items-examples: Canned meats, soup, pasta, peanut butter, cereals, vegetables, juice, fruit, box dinners, ravioli, coffee, mac & cheese.

If you can help please drop off the above items or a check to the Madonna House at 405 South 12th Street in Quincy. If you have any questions call 217-224-7771.
