10 Athletes, 1 Rowing Machine, 26.2 Miles

The annual Row Raiser benefiting Special Olympics Illinois is this weekend, and a fun event to watch.

I had the pleasure of being apart of this event last year and it was amazing. It was hot, but the athletes that rowed were just beyond amazing ( and determined). All over the state of Illinois Row Raiser will be happening, and there is one happening here in Quincy,

Qtown Crossfit will be hosting this years Row Raiser at the Quincy Mall, in front of Bergner's. So what exactly is Row Raiser? There are teams of ten that will pull on a row machine the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles) in the shortest amount of time.

The event was actually started in Quincy by Sam Dancer and his staff at Qtown Crossfit back in 2014, and has now spread state wide.
