The Kelly’s-YMCA Fun Run-Walk is Sunday

Kelly’s and the Quincy Family YMCA will host the annual St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run/Walk this Sunday. This race has been an Irish tradition in Quincy for over 30 years. The registration fees are $25 if registered in advance and $30 if you register this Sunday. You can register online at www.quincyymca.net or pick up a registration form at Kelly’s Tavern, or the YMCA office. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Sunday and the race starts at 9:15 at Kelly’s at 28th and Broadway.

Runners will start first followed by walkers. The course is a 5K and is relatively flat with some slight hills. There are fifteen divisions which are divided by different age and gender categories. Awards will be given in each division.  Runners and walkers of all ages are welcomed to attend.  Strollers are also welcomed.

All of the proceeds of the event go to fund the Dolphin Swim Team at the YMCA. The race is sponsored by Kelly’s Tavern, Rinella Company, Tower Pizza and Mexican, Gem City Pizzeria and the Abbey.
