There are a ton of talented local musicians in our area. Some have played for years, others are just starting out. Many of them have their own channels on YouTube, which makes discovering their music about as easy as it gets. Here is a directory of YouTube channels for local musicians that frequently play in and around Quincy and Hannibal.

Savana Santos is a Quincy Senior High student that earned an audition on 'The Voice.' She is also a member of the local group Avenue Beat, which performed in Nashville during CMA Fest, and is planning a return trip to Music City. There is a YouTube channel for both Savana and Avenue Beat. We recommend subscribing to both.

Madd Hoss Jackson is one of the area's best-known local bands, and is a group that has gotten better and better through the years. Madd Hoss recently had their Nashville debut, where they performed in front of record label executives. They'll also be releasing a new CD sometime in the very near future.

Jared Keim is from Hannibal. He competed on 'American Idol,' making it all the way to Hollywood. He has since played live at many of the major events around the region. Jared recently joined the group Restless Road, which placed fourth one season on 'The X Factor.' Just like with Savana Santos and Avenue Beat, Jared has his own YouTube channel and there is a dedicated Restless Road channel.

Skyline Ridge is a country duo from Mt. Sterling that consists of Matt and Hannah Bordenkircher. You might remember Matt and Hannah as members of the group Highway 99. They recently traveled to Nashville to record their debut EP as a duo, which is available now from iTunes and Amazon.

Cheeks McGee is a "singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music educator" who plays frequently in our area. Cheeks got the name "Cheeks" from playing the trumpet, which he's been doing since the age of 10. Cheeks McGee's music combines elements of multiple genres.

NOWAKE from Hannibal began in 2007. The band has music available on iTunes and Amazon. NOWAKE will be playing several times in our area over the summer. They're booked for Down by the River in July.

Not all of the Wedgewood Brothers are brothers, and none of them are named Wedgewood. They got their name from an old box of cigars, which is a good a way to get a band name as any. The Wedgewood Brothers play a mix of rock and country. They're based in west central Illinois, but travel all around the region to play shows.
