Yeah! The Last Quincy Mall Snow Pile Will Melt Today

If there was ever any doubt that winter is officially over, erase it from your head as today looks to be the day that the last of those massive snow piles behind the Quincy Mall will have completely melted.

I was driving past the back of the Mall this morning when I saw what appeared to be snow still left in the parking lot. I drove up to it and yes indeed it was still there as you can see from the picture. With temperatures expected to be in the 70's today, this little remnant of old man winter will be gone for sure by day's end.

There was a time looking at those piles when I wondered just when it would completely melt. Well, the answer is March 31, 2015. April arrives tomorrow and there will be no looking back. If you do look back there won't be any snow piles to look at and that's a good thing.
