On Tuesday night, the Adams County Board Jail Committee met to review some new developments regarding the possibility of a new jail being built. The decision to build a new Adams County Jail is in the hands of the voters in a referendum on the upcoming April ballot.

While the Adams County Sheriff’s Department has made it quite clear that there is a need for a new jail, there are some people who aren't necessarily fans of a new jail because of the cost. According to a KHQA-TV report, the proposed renovations would raise sale taxes by a fourth of a percent to a total of an 8 percent sales tax in Quincy.

Although the election is still weeks away, if it were to be held today how would you vote?
