Some of us were talking the other day about their most favorite teacher, kindergarten through 12th grade.

I knew my answer right away. Mrs. Penstone in my first-grade class. Don't get me wrong. I had other teachers who were very good and I learned much from them, but Mrs. Penstone was like a mom to me.

There was just something about her personality and her way of making all of us feel like we could not miss a day of school. We looked forward to going to school and learn. Of course, a few of the boys did not want to even be there. But when I walked into Mrs. Penstone's class in the mornings, it was like fun time. She made learning fun. We looked forward to seeing her everyday. I miss her and I know she is teaching in Heaven.
