Do you remember when you went to a gas station to air up your car tires and it was free? Now (at most places) you have to pay  to get your tires aired up. Why is that?

And here is another question: Where are all the air pumps? Are they hidden, or have they gone out of style? When did this all happen? And who takes care of the air you put into your tires? The guys at the service station used to do that for you. Now, you have to get out of your car, air the tire up to where it should be on the gauge, and hope all four of your tires have the same air pressure in them. By the time you do all of that, the little air machine goes off, leaving you looking for more quarters to put into the machine. If you don't have more quarters, then you have to go into the store and get some. By this time, you're tired of bending over to get the air into your tires, so you say to heck with it all and buy yourself a Mounds Bar.

Of course I'm kidding (mostly). Do you know of any places where you can still get free air? We found a free air pump at the new Harvest Market on 24th Street. Where else is there free air?
