People used to say….”The world seems to be changing every year”. Then it became ”The world seems to be changing every month” and now it’s every day or even every hour.

Case in point, a friend of mine saw my phone that I have hooked up in my garage. I had a phone outlet located there without a phone attached so I dug through a box a “junk” and saw the phone. It’s a push button wall phone with a long cord.

Having seen me using it, I was quickly chastised by my friend for not having an updated phone and for using one from the “dark ages.” I laughed along with her but also mentioned that it still worked “so there.”

It got me to thinking about everything we use is being updated or changed. The list goes on and on. Here are just a few things I came up with plenty more out there.  For instance: Snail mail will soon be going away losing the fight against electronic mail instead. Land line home phones are being replaced with cell phones. Car road maps are being replaced with G.P.S. units. The tradition of clocks at home and wristwatches are being replaced with synchronized to satellite time pieces.

Piggy banks will soon be a thing of the past as people go to electronic money and less use of cash. And driving your own car will soon be outdated as we now have cars that can park themselves. I can’t wait to hear “my God are you still driving your own car?”

It’s coming folks.  Are you ready?  It’s changing every hour.
