The Polar Plunge is presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run and GEICO.

It is a unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes by taking a dip in to some frigid Illinois water in the middle of winter. You must be nuts they say about this but we are more than willing to,first of all to have some fun and help out the cause at the same time. In 2016, the Polar Plunge will challenge thousands of brave jumpers at 21 locations across Illinois. It is a great way to get involved with the Special Olympics Illinois. Thanks to the help of participants and fans the incentive prizes for this year's plunge have been finalized. Everyone who raises the minimum of $100 will receive a navy blue hooded sweatshirt.

The plunge takes place Saturday, February 27, Moorman Park Lake in Quincy at 12:15pm.
