We Lost a Great Guy in Ted Tappe Four Years Ago Today

Back on March 30, Luke Tappe hosted the annual Community Cancer Crush event at the Ambiance. The event once again featured a full house to help people dealing with cancer.  One of those people who took on that battle a few years ago was Ted Tappe, Luke’s dad. Unfortunately, Ted lost his fight with cancer 4 years ago today. The idea of the Community Cancer Crush was well underway before Ted’s passing. He would be proud of what his son has done with the annual event raising thousands of dollars to help cancer victims in the area.

Whenever someone passes way too early, you always ask why? Teddy’s time came way too early.  Ted was a good man, a good father, a wonderful musician and a friend to many and I was glad to be one of them.

I can’t go to any Blues in The District event without thinking of him running the sound board for the musicians playing with a big smile on his face. For those who don’t know, Teddy was a pretty good musician himself.

Teddy may be gone, but he is certainly not forgotten. Luke will make sure that never happens.
