The polls are open until 7 p.m. tonight in Hannibal where voters are deciding if they want to keep incumbent Mayor Roy Hark or move in another direction with challengers Lou Barta or Monica Williams.

Marion County Clerk Valerie Dornberger is anticipating a very low turnout of less than 20 percent of the registered voters going to the polls. Weather will certainly not be a factor in the turnout so it looks like public apathy will be winning this election and that's too bad. The results for the few unfortunately who actually care will be revealed later tonight.
