Valentine's Day is history for 2013 and according to a survey conducted by BIGinsight spending to the big day was slightly higher than last year. Spending may have been up but it was not as robust as many had hoped it would be. According to the survey, the average person spent $130.97 on candy, cards, gifts and more.  That was up from $126.03 last year an increase of $4.94 over last year. In case you were wondering just how much money was spent for Valentine's Day, the total will reach close to 18.6 billion (with a b) dollars.
