Looking for something used, but not too used? The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Quincy is holding its first-ever Upscale Garage Sale on Saturday, May 10. According to the Kroc Center, the event will feature "high-quality items at garage sale prices."

Admission is only $1 and will benefit the Kroc Center scholarship program. Admission will not be charged for kids 12 and under. Shopping hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kroc Center, 405 Vermont in Quincy. The Kroc Cafe will also be serving breakfast and lunch during garage sale hours.

Not only will The Salvation Army be raising money for their scholarship program, but they'll also be accepting donations for the thrift store from vendors who don't want to lug all of their unsold merchandise home, which sounds like a win-win for the thrift store and the vendors.

This will be the first time for this event at the Kroc Center. The Salvation Army does a tremendous amount of good work for our community, and we wish them the best of luck with the Upscale Garage Sale!
