Hannibal is known for Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer, and the famous Molly Brown. And a lot of us would agree that it's a pretty charming little town. So it's nice that The Travel Channel is taking notice. They just named it as the Most Charming Small Town in Missouri!

The popular cable network has just named Hannibal one of fifty small charming towns to visit. In the article, Hannibal is recognized for celebrating its bicentennial this year. They credit the town's variety of shops, museums, and other tourist attractions. Plus some annual events get a mention like National Tom Sawyer Days and the Steampunk festival.

Alton and Decorah made the list for Illinois and Iowa respectively. We are pretty lucky to have Hannibal right in our own backyard. It really is a charming little down with lots of history and character. With the bicentennial this year, Hannibal is adding a few more fun festivals to the already busy summer.
