‘Tom Boland Highway’ to be Unveiled at Ceremony Tonight

The unveiling of the "Tom Boland Highway" will take place during a public ceremony at the Quality Inn in Hannibal tonight (Wednesday, August 31) at 5 p.m.  Representative Lindell Shumake will welcome everyone and introduce guest speakers who include Tom Oakley, Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Chairman Gregg Smith, Dick Rupp, Bobby Boland and Honoree Tom Boland.

Following their brief remarks, the "Tom Boland Highway" sign will be unveiled.  The public is invited and welcomed to attend the ceremony which should conclude by 6 p.m.

The highway designation is on U.S. 61 in Hannibal from Warren Barrett Drive to County Road 407, just past the Tom Boland Ford Dealership in Hannibal.
