It is the Quincy Park District's opening day today for miniature golf, paddle boating, disc golf, bike riding and the batting cage at the batting cage area of Moorman Park. The putters, the boats, the discs, the bikes and the bats will be ready for use beginning this afternoon at 3:30.

The 18-hole miniature golf course is beautifully landscaped with running streams and a large rock sculpture. The batting cages offer baseball and slow pitch and fast pitch softball hitting machines.

Paddle-boat rentals are located in this same area on Moorman Lake. Four seat boats are available for rent. All youth, 12 and under, must ride with an adult (over 18 years old).

There is also a great 18-hole disc golf course which starts just south of the batting cage. Score cards and discs are available at the batting cage.

The Park District also offers bicycle rental. They have one tandem bicycle that is made for two adults and a second tandem bicycle is made for one child and one adult. A recumbent bicycle is also available for rental.

So, happy putting, paddling, flipping, peddling and swinging.  If you work up a hunger or thirst, concessions will also be available.  For more information, go to: www.quincyparkdistrict.com.
