The United Way of Adams County Asks You to Lend Your Time

As far as hunger goes in the Adams County, we are making progress. Residents faced with hunger in Adams County dropped 2.2% from 8,370 to 6,900. Even with this progress, one in ten of Adams County residents still struggle with hunger. To help, The United Way of Adams County has a unique way to feed the hungry by hosting an event to assemble ready-to-prepare meals to distribute to Adams County pantries.

Around 60 volunteers will measure dry pasta into pouches, add seasoning packets and vacuum seal the pouches. The United Way has the potential to create over 4,000 packages that, when cooked, yield 25,000 servings of protein-fortified macaroni and cheese.
