The Quincy Yacht Club Donates $1500 To Local Emergency Corps

The Quincy Yacht Club has been around a very long time promoting boating safety. The Club has donated $1500 to the Quincy Area Volunteer Emergency Corps to help offset some of their expenses.

The Quincy Yacht Club promotes boating safety and holds a variety of fundraisers to support this mission. Along with this donation, the Yacht Club also makes life jackets available in the Quincy Marina for those needing to borrow one for the day. Life jackets are available in all sizes, from infant through adult.

The club this year is celebrating its 45th Anniversary. The Quincy Area Volunteer Emergency Corp is celebrating its 60th year in 2015. The all volunteer group has spent many long hours on the Mississippi River and surrounding bodies of water searching for missing victims.

Quincy is very fortunate to have these individuals in our community to lend a hand.
