Valentine's Day is Saturday, February 14. It is always a big night for the restaurant business. This year you better make reservations way in advance to assure that you get the dinner time you would like. The problem in Quincy this year is that there will be one less restaurant available, and it is one of the more popular ones, especially for Valentine's Day.

The Patio Restaurant at 133 South 4th Street in Quincy will not be open this year as they are still renovating the restaurant after a fire at the Hotel Elkton in early December forced its closing. The restaurant is in the same building and suffered water damage during the blaze.

According to owner Mark Neiswender, they were anxious to open The Patio in time for Valentine's Day, but it now looks like it maybe a week after that.
