The First Annual Gem City Golf Open to Be Held in August

This area is well known for being a golfing community and the Junior Rangers Golf Academy is making sure it continues that way. The Junior Rangers Golf Academy has announced it will present the first annual Gem City Golf Open. That event will take place at Spring Lake Country Club on August 10 through 12. The Junior Rangers Golf Academy has proudly formed a partnership with the Spring Lake Country Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to bring this exciting event to Quincy which will include aspiring future P.G.A. Tour professionals, senior professionals and amateurs from around the world.

Luke Guthrie, a professional golfer from Quincy, will have a special message endorsing the mission and the future creation of a Community Center. The Tournament Founders include Aaron St. Clair, Tim Schrage, A.J. Cooper, Ray Weast and Ryan Hulett.

More details about the tournament as well as the proceeds raised will be announced at the press conference this Thursday at noon at Spring Lake Country Club.
