The District in Quincy has announce two major events coming up on Dogwood Festival Weekend.  Saturday April 30 is The District Street Concert and Sunday May 1st is the All Faith Celebration.The District Street Dance, presented by Austin Properties, will be held on Maine Street between 4th and 5th Streets. The stage will be set up at 5th and Maine and will feature The Matt Roberts Blues Band performing from 6 to 8 p.m.  The Matt Roberts Blues Band is based in Quincy and they specialize and deliver “The Blues with a Feeling.”

At 9 p.m. the Super Majik Robots will take to the stage.  The Super Majik Robots originate from St. Louis and specialize in energy driven dance-able pop songs with a twist.  They deliver music with surprises around every corner and a few costume changes to boot.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. with food and ice cold refreshments available all night long. Admission is a donation of $2.00 to benefit The District.  Also, a $10.00 donation will give you a complimentary Dogwood Martini.

The Dogwood Weekend culminates in The District with the All Faith Celebration Sunday, May 1, in Clat Adams Park on the beautiful Mississippi.  The celebration begins at 3 p.m. with the City Wide Praise & Worship Service that will include The Crossing Worship Performers.

Beginning at 4 p.m. a special concert by Andrew Peterson and Carrolton will take place. The All Faith Celebration is a free event.  Lawn chairs are encouraged for both events.
