The Big Dog’s Calendar Says Today is the First Day of Spring

In my little crazy world, I consider Winter to be the months of November, December, January and February. So happy Spring to me on this first day of March. For the rest of you, your first day of Spring will not arrive until March 19 at 11:30 p.m. So what I am saying is today is my Vernal Equinox even though the equal amounts of sunlight and darkness won't occur until your Vernal Equinox on March 19. Oh, it may snow in March, but with the sun positioned further north each day the chances of it lasting long is minimal.

For those of you who want to wait until the official date of March 19, go ahead and enjoy 18 more days of Winter. Now for the rest of you, I hereby grant you access to jump on my Spring bandwagon today and put Old Man Winter away for good this season. Are you joining me?
