It’s fun to think back to when you were growing up. I grew up in the 80s and 90s. Some things haven’t changed very much since then. Others have changed quite a bit. Here are ten things those of us that grew up in Hannibal might remember from the 80s.

Watching E.T. at the Sky-Hi Drive-In.

Leaping out the window of the Hannibal Fire Department's mock fire house when it came to your school.

Riding the coin operated pony at TG&Y, and coin operated merry-go-round at K-Mart.

Wanting to eat at McDonald’s because they had the best playground.

Going through the Winter Wonderland display every Christmastime at the flower shop on Market Street.

Not being able to decide if you wanted to go trick-or-treating, or go to the Hannibal Police Department's Halloween party because you just knew that all your friends would be there.

Your parents making you listen to Bids for Bargains, or even worse, BINGO.

Getting comics at Tolivar's Book Exchange after seeing Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson in Batman.
