Taylor Swift Admits Her Weakness for Bad Boys

Everyone has their weaknesses. Superman has kryptonite, Taylor Swift has bad boys. (And maybe Kanye West, but that’s a whole other story.)

“There’s a really interesting charisma involved,” Swift said of bad boys in an interview with Parade. “They usually have a lot to say, and even if they don’t, they know how to look at you to say it all. I think every girl’s dream is to find a bad boy at the right time, when he wants to not be bad anymore.” Hey, T-Swizzle — why not just date a good guy? Just a hint.

The hopeless romantic admits that she falls in love very, very fast. That may explain why it takes her so long to get over relationships that typically last her about three months. I don’t think there’s an option for me to fall in love slowly, or at medium speed. I either do or I don’t,” she explained. “I don’t think it through, really, which is a good thing and a bad thing. You don’t look before you leap, which is like, ‘Yay, this is awesome! Let’s not think twice!’ And then you’re like, ‘We used to be flying. Now we’re falling. What’s happening?’” (What’s usually happening is that Swift is getting too serious too soon for her beaus, the last of which — Conor Kennedy and Harry Styles of One Direction — are only 18.)

Of course, if someone falls in love that quickly and constantly, there are questions about the authenticity of those feelings — and that’s something Swift is keenly aware of, though not always in the moment. “I tend to think things are love and then look back and reevaluate,” she admitted. “I know how many people I’ve said ‘I love you’ to. I could probably count it up, but I don’t feel like it. Part of me feels you can’t say you were truly in love if it didn’t last,” she sighed. “If I end up getting married and having kids, that’s when I’ll know it’s real — because it lasted.”

You hear that, Hazza? It’s not love unless you put a ring on it!
