The 2017 Wingfest will be held this Saturday at the Oakley-Lindsay Center in Quincy presented by Y101 Radio, the Oakley Lindsay Center and Mountain Dew Kickstart.

If you happen to drive by the Y101 Radio studio tomorrow and see a few police cars in the lot don't worry as a "Coffee with a Cop" event will be held tomorrow morning next door at the Coach House Restaurant. The event runs from 7:30 a.m.to 9:30 a.m.

Y101 is giving away a seven-night trip for two adults to the Riu Palace Jamaica in Montego Bay compliments of The Travel House of Quincy, Riu Hotels and Apple Vacations.

For the past two weeks Y101 Radio has been soliciting names for the Y101 Little League baseball team to represent Y101 on the field during the Quincy Gem's season opening pre-game ceremony. Thank you to all who nominated a young person to be on the team. The team was announced today.

It maybe still some 7 weeks away but the Quincy Gems are gearing up for their 2016 Summer Prospect League baseball season on the field and off.  The Gems are stocking their roster with ballplayers from around the country and here locally as well.  For the fans, they will see some new things this year at Q.U. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and as a result Quincy University will be showing "The Hunting Ground", a documentary film about campus sexual assaults, on Monday, April 11.  The hour long movie will be shown at 7:15 p.m. at Quincy University's MacHugh Theatre in conjunction with Quanada and will be followed by a panel discussion on the subject.  It is open to all students and th

Special Olympics of Western Illinois recently received some great news in their efforts to reach out to more Special Olympians in the area. That news has to do with The Quincy Public School District partnering up with Special Olympics.

April 22 will be quite an night as the YWCA of Quincy will be holding "A Voice for All Women" event at the Oakley-Lindsay Center.  That night the YWCA will honor four outstanding women for what they do to make our area a better place to live. Those four women are Donna Smith, Kellie Kurre, Chrissy Cox and Taylor Redd.

The Advocacy Network for Children will be holding a “Biker Bash” dinner & fundraiser at The Ambiance this Saturday, April 2 and there is still time to join in on the fun.
