Today, July 13, marks the one-year anniversary of the devastating 70+ mph windstorm that ripped through Quincy just before 7:00 pm leaving a wave of destruction in its path and leaving the vast majority of Quincy and Adams County without power.

If you were in Quincy at this time last year, what were you doing when "The Storm" came through? Here's my story.

Summer will "unofficially" end on Labor Day. A ton of things have happened around the area over the past several months. There was a big storm. Lakeview closed, but Imo's opened. Once again, everybody won during the Mega Raffle. Mary Poppins came to QCT and Wavering Aquatic Center closed for good...

Damage from the July 13 windstorm that tore through Quincy is still clearly visible along city streets. Things are finally starting to return to normal in Quincy, but the volume of debris left from the storm will take some time to clean up.
